9/11 Tribute Museum
США
Добавлен 26 янв 2015
The 9/11 Tribute Museum is a project of the September 11th Families’ Association which brings together those who want to learn about 9/11 with those who experienced it. We invite visitors to share personal stories of the 9/11 community - family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders and rescue workers, civilian volunteers, and community residents whose healing is a testament to the perseverance of the human spirit. We provide an understanding of the loss and impact of 9/11 while inspiring the power of resilience and recovery.
We have recorded and collected over 400 personal oral histories from the 9/11 community. Collecting, preserving and sharing this history is central to our mission.

Ray's story is crazy, if they gave me pieces of my wifes body, I was absolutely lose my shi and never recover
The flight attendant on AA flight 11 that he mentioned was named Madeline Amy Sweeney. My dad went to high school with her and they graduated the same year. She was a cheerleader and was really well-liked, and my grandma once described her as being "a really sweet girl." She called her manager after the hijacking and relayed information about the attackers and injuries onboard. She also reported seeing water and buildings shortly before the plane crashed. The worst thing about her story is that she wasn't even supposed to be on shift that day. She was covering for a coworker that was sick. She, like my dad, would have turned 60 this year if she were still alive. I hope, wherever she is now, that she's resting easy.
Thank you so much for your service. And thank you for sharing your story with us.
Thank you for recording and posting these stories. ❤
Wonderful moderator. Thank you for recording all of these! They mean so much and I’ve been watching one after another. Thank you for documenting the personal costs of 9/11. ❤
10-12 seconds is free fall speed.110 stories 1 second a story=110 seconds= 1 minute and 50 seconds
Omg. 😔
Love Gregg Hanson.. he better get a higher pay raise.. oh!! Captain
God bless you sir prayers for complete healing. 🙏🇺🇸
thank you telling your story i’ll never forget i hope to visit the tribute museum one day
Incredible woman!
Thank you for sharing
One of the best deliveries I've seen in these videos✨
Judy makes me HARDford
Very good video! You just let him talk and never interrupt. Love his knowledge of history and explaining the facts!
Genuine question and I mean no disrespect. But how did those in the south tower actually see the aircraft penetrating tower one? The airplane hit the opposite side to tower 2. Thought they only saw the back of the explosion or have I misunderstood?
Thank you Andy for the many details you provided! I learned some things I didn’t know. Thank you for your service throughout your life, and especially on and after 9/11. You’re a great teacher!
Thank you so much for sharing your stories! I keep learning something from each story told. Often times the smaller details you mention are things that just never occurred to me. One can’t know if one wasn’t there. I can’t even imagine some of these things. The details are important, thank you for preserving history!
Thank you for sharing your story, Guy! You are a very wise person. I wish you would come back and update us on how you’re doing. I very much would like to hear from the company who sent their employees home early that day- and then had them make up the time. WTH WERE YOU THINKING?
Gail, thank you for telling your story! As a parrot parent I’m particularly grateful you saved the birds! All the best to you!
Thank you Ann for telling your story. I am grateful to all who told their stories, and to those preserving them. It’s like you said, a mosaic, the picture will never be complete, but it’s important to keep adding to it. Very sorry for all the losses that day and beyond. Best to you and your family!
Thank you so much for telling your story! I’m not connected to anybody in NY, and I live on the other side of the country. I remember 9/11 very well. I have listened to so many survivor stories. It’s like little mosaics that keep adding to the picture, a picture that will never be complete. But story tellers like you, Jeanette, have taught me so much about the human spirit. Stay strong and thrive!
I'm 2 years late, but thank you for being vulnerable, sharing your stories, and educating us. Never forget.
Thank you for sharing ❤ Grateful you are still here today. i was only 8 years old on 9/11. this story touched my heart.
this man has the heart of a warrior. amazing he survived the impact zone.
Excellent, thank you. My respects.
I love this! You found strength to stand when you should have been all out of strength bc you wanted to get your friends out! You three helped each other💕 this is one of my favorite stories bc it shows the human will to survive but also protect.
Thank you so much❤
Stan the man
Thank you for your heroism in NYC in September 2001, and for telling your story. I live in Baton Rouge, and that’s where I was in 2005 during Katrina. I want to thank you for your service there as well, because it was a terrible time, and our state needed heroes. 🫶🏻
Unfortunately, kindness is not the answer. Vigilance is the answer. Some groups believe others are bad and will seek to annihilate them.
Thanks so much for your dedicated life of helping 🙏 may God bless you with successful operation on the heart and care for you ❤
Her sister likely saved her life.
❤
I'm a bit perplexed by the first speaker saying they had no experience with terrorism. Wasn't there a bombing of the parking garage in 1993?
Destroyed by demolition. Never forget the traitors behind this
Why does it have a 9 on it?
I wish my kids would love and miss me just they did for their father
WHY IS THE OLDER LADY STARTING THEIR STORY WEIRD
She is the host of this series and introduces everyone. There are dozens of these lectures in the series. She's actually very good at her job if you get a chance to listen to a few.
I like this woman! Thank you Joan!!
Rick totally ignored authority and told everybody in the south tower to evacuate against what the authorities were telling them to do
Not sure i liked this guys using the story of a dead daughter to amuse himself over his potential acting abilities. And of course you have the "it's deeper than that, bro" people, but seriously. Why go there? I bet everyone in the room who lost a loved one at 9/11 is now wondering if whoever have them that news was playing their own stupid game
the MASSIVE airplane crash didn't instantly kill him ?? ... the MASSIVE fireball didn't instantly kill him ?? ... HE'S A PIECE OF SHITTE LIAR !!
the MASSIVE airplane impact didn't instantly kill him ?? ... the MASSIVE fireball also didn't instantly kill him ?? .... HE'S A PIECE OF SHITTE LIAR !!!
Terry had a 100watt smile. As a mother my heart aches for her.
It occurs to me watching this that with 10,000 people having cancer that there is a horrible time limit these folks will have to on telling their story. These videos will exist long after they are gone and will testify to the horrors they experienced. These videos will help us to never forget.
Great story. And I love the kangol hat
Looks like they got an out of town sound guy to mic this one up. Doesn’t know New Yorkers talk with their hands. Lots of background noise.
I should believe in god because he saved 200 people that you work with?
I think the other firefighter who helped carry you out you've been looking for was tom casatelli
There is way less than 1.7 million hours in 708 days lmaooo 1.7 million hours is actually 194 years.
